The Mother Land

Mother’s Day has got me thinking: When is your country a Motherland and when is it a Fatherland?

Now there are also mythical figures who come to represent countries: I’m one of Jock Tamson’s Bairns as a Scottish-type person www.visitscotland.com.

We love the Stars and Stripes

Americans The New Frontiersmen and www.visitusa.com have Uncle Sam and a bunch of other heroes.

And the French The Boat D’Azur https://www.google.ie/amp/s/us.france.fr/en/news/article/about-atout-france-0/amp I guess that madamoiselle who bears her breast on the rampants.
